What this file does

Documents the consolidation of .agents and .claude configuration directories into a single .cursor directory structure.

When to use it

  • Migrating from Claude or Agent configuration to Cursor
  • Standardising multiple AI tool configs into one location
  • Cleaning up legacy .agents and .claude directories
  • Setting up a unified Cursor workspace with merged rules and skills

Assumes this stack

CursorClaudeAgent

Merge: .agents and .claude → .cursor

All configuration previously under .agents and .claude now lives under .cursor.

Layout

  • rules/ — Cursor rules (.mdc) plus merged rules from Claude:
    • common/ — coding-style, git-workflow, testing, security, patterns, hooks, etc. (from .claude)
    • python/ — coding-style, testing, patterns, hooks, security (from .claude)
  • skills/ — All skills from .cursor, .claude, and .agents. Duplicates kept the .cursor version.
  • commands/ — Claude commands (plan, tdd, code-review, verify, etc.).
  • scripts/ — Claude hooks and lib (session-start, session-end, evaluate-session, etc.).
  • agents/ — Cursor agent definitions (e.g. write-test-review-workflow).
  • hooks.json — Claude hooks config (from .claude).
  • README-claude.md — Original Claude README (from .claude).

There was no .agent directory; only .agents and .claude were merged. .agents and .claude have been removed after the merge.

What's inside

Lists 7 merged directories and files: rules, skills, commands, scripts, agents, hooks.json, README-claude.md

Change this for your project

  • Replace whatsforlunch99/openFund-AI with your own repository name
  • Replace .agents and .claude paths with your actual config directories

Where it goes

Save as AGENTS.md in your repository root. Read by Codex, Cursor and other agents that follow the AGENTS.md convention.
