The Postgres MCP server connects GitHub Copilot to your PostgreSQL database for natural language SQL queries and schema exploration.

Tools provided:
- query: Execute read-only SQL queries against the database
- list_tables: List all tables in the database
- describe_table: Get column definitions and constraints for a table
The server runs queries in a read-only transaction by default for safety. Copilot can explore your schema, write queries based on natural language, and help debug data issues without leaving the editor.
