About CanFestival

CanFestival is a free software CANopen framework written in ANSI-C, designed to be platform independent. It can be built as either master or slave nodes and supports deployment on PCs, Real-time IPCs, and Microcontrollers. The runtime code is licensed under LGPLv2, while the accompanying developer tools are licensed under GPLv2. The project was released as free software in 2001 and has grown through community source code contributions. Community support is provided via a moderated mailing list.
