About egzumer/uv-k5-firmware-custom

A custom open-source firmware for Quansheng UV-K5, K6, and 5R v2.1.27 handheld radios. This repository merges the work of OneOfEleven (improved AM reception, long-press button functions, fast scanning, channel name editing) and fagci (spectrum analyzer, SSB demodulation) with additional enhancements by egzumer. Features include an AM fix for vastly improved reception quality, configurable button functions, battery percentage/voltage display, backlight dimming, better DCS/CTCSS scanning, LCD interference crash fix, and many more menu customizations. The firmware is intended for experienced users comfortable with flashing and willing to accept the risk of bricking the radio. A comprehensive manual is available in the project's Wiki.
