ClaudePrism

ClaudePrism is an offline-first scientific writing workspace designed as a native desktop application, built using Tauri 2 and Rust. It serves as a local alternative to cloud-based platforms like OpenAI Prism, storing and compiling documents on the user's machine rather than on remote servers. The tool integrates Claude AI models (Opus, Sonnet, Haiku) to assist with writing and research tasks, but note that AI features require sending content to Anthropic's API for inference. The workspace includes embedded LaTeX compilation via Tectonic, allowing for offline document preparation, and a built-in Python environment powered by uv, which enables one-click setup of scientific Python stacks. Users can also access over 100 domain-specific scientific skills covering areas such as bioinformatics, cheminformatics, and machine learning. The application is open-source under the MIT license and can be installed directly on a desktop, with a template gallery and project wizard to streamline new projects.
