Collaboration, comments, and document history require Tiptap Platform's Cloud documents. AI and some Pro extensions need an active subscription for verification but can run without Cloud documents.
How does Tiptap support Open Source?
Tiptap’s core editor is Open Source. You can self-host, extend it with your own extensions, and contribute via PRs. The Platform and Enterprise add managed infrastructure and support on top of the OSS core.
