About ChatGPT Shopping

ChatGPT Shopping (shopping research) is a new feature within OpenAI's ChatGPT that transforms product discovery into an interactive, personalized conversation. Instead of manually browsing multiple sites, users describe what they need—such as 'Find the quietest cordless stick vacuum for a small apartment' or 'Help me choose between these three bikes'—and ChatGPT conducts deep research across the internet, reviews high-quality sources, and asks clarifying questions about budget, preferences, and use cases. It leverages ChatGPT's memory (if enabled) to tailor recommendations based on past conversations. The feature is available to all logged-in ChatGPT users (Free, Go, Plus, Pro plans) on mobile and web, with nearly unlimited usage during the holiday season. It excels in detail-heavy categories like electronics, beauty, home and garden, kitchen and appliances, and sports and outdoor.
