About Orion by Meta
Orion is Meta's first true augmented reality glasses, previously codenamed Project Nazare. Designed to bridge the physical and virtual worlds, Orion combines the look and feel of regular glasses with large holographic displays that allow users to place 2D and 3D content anywhere in their environment. The glasses integrate contextual AI that senses and understands the world to anticipate and address user needs. They are lightweight, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, and enable natural face-to-face interaction by keeping the wearer's eyes and expressions visible. Orion represents a major step toward consumer AR glasses, currently being tested with Meta employees and select external audiences.
