FAQ

What is What-the-Diff?
What-the-Diff is an AI-powered app that reviews the diff of your pull requests and writes a descriptive comment about the changes in plain English.
What are tokens?
Tokens are used to process the git diff of your pull request. Average pull requests are ~2,300 tokens. Larger diffs consume more tokens.
Does it work with all languages?
Yes, we support nearly all programming languages and the AI can explain the diff in plain English or one of the other supported human languages.
Do you store my code?
We do not store your code nor does any third-party service. We only use the GitHub/GitLab API to read the diff of your pull requests.
What happens if I run out of tokens?
If you run out of tokens, you can upgrade to a bigger plan or wait until your next billing cycle. Accounts are not automatically upgraded.
Do unused tokens add up?
Unused tokens do not roll over to the next month, so it's recommended to select the smallest plan and upgrade when needed.
