Mistral AI announced Workflows, a new orchestration layer designed to help businesses convert AI-driven processes into reliable production systems. The tool entered public preview, and several organizations already rely on it for key operations. Users include ASML, ABANCA, CMA-CGM, France Travail, La Banque Postale, and Moeve.
Workflows Integrates with Mistral Studio
This new capability forms part of the Mistral Studio platform. Developers can create processes using Python code. The system logs every step within Studio for monitoring. Employees access and start these processes via the Le Chat chatbot.
A simple line of code allows workflows to halt and wait for human review. This proves handy for tasks such as approving freight shipments or verifying customer information and product details. Workflows operates on the Temporal engine, the same backend that powers systems at Netflix, Stripe, and Salesforce. Mistral manages the orchestration aspects, while all data processing occurs securely within the customer's own infrastructure.

ASML, a leading provider of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, joined the early users. ABANCA, a Spanish banking group, adopted it for operations. CMA-CGM, one of the world's largest shipping firms, put it to work on critical tasks. France Travail, the French public employment service, integrated the tool. La Banque Postale, France's postal banking institution, uses it alongside Moeve, a mobility solutions company. These firms apply Workflows to processes that demand high reliability.
