NASA Hands Blue Origin Up to $700 Million for Mars Communications Network
NASA has awarded Blue Origin a contract worth up to $700 million to build a next-generation Mars communications network. The network will provide high-bandwidth communications and navigation services for NASA missions to the Red Planet. Blue Origin must deliver the Mars telecommunications orbiter by December 31, 2028, with operations planned to begin by 2030.
