Lovable Acquires Sutro, Maker of SLang, as Founder Halgas Joins to Lead Technical Evangelism
Lovable announced on September 18, 2026 that it acquired Sutro, the company behind the SLang programming language and a zero-infra backend platform. Sutro founder Tomas Halgas and three engineers – Max Gfeller, Tony Zhan, and Hirad Arshadi – are joining Lovable, with Halgas set to lead technical evangelism. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal follows Lovable's $400 million Series C and a Salesforce partnership.
