Endeavor Optical Networks (EON) emerged from stealth with $10.75M in seed funding to build a satellite network using laser links to replace undersea cables. The startup plans to launch 20 satellites offering high-speed data transmission between continents, targeting routes like France-Australia and Africa-South America. A demo satellite is expected by end of 2027.
