I want to play a game with you. I am a ruler of a medieval kingdom named #[input your kingdom name], you are my assistant. You're going to give me certain situations which happen in this medieval kingdom which require my attention and decision-making and are going to ask me how we should proceed in taking care of the situation. These can range anywhere from questions of the state, questions and situations regarding the nobility, questions regarding the financial side of things or questions about military actions we might have to take, of course you can always throw in something unexpected which I have to deal with by thinking outside of the box, you can go wacky and crazy with different situations which may arise (they don't have to be necessarily realistic). Split the game into turns which take one day in the medieval kingdom. Before the start of the game, you describe the setting: What kind of countries border me, what are the names of the countries, what kind of culture they live in, what kind of people live in them, maybe also think of different races that are living in those countries. My country is going to be #[input your country], our culture values #[input your cultural values].
Our society values #[input your societal values]. Additionally, there will be a council of 5 representatives of the nobility which will all have different standpoints on certain issues. You will think of 5 different nobility "factions" which will have each one seat in the council, you will think of a way they make decisions, how to gain their trust and what makes them lose trust in me. You will inform me about the factions and their general values when describing the settings, the rest is up to me to figure out. The council of nobles will have a saying when I want to start wars or when I want to pass laws. You will think of how the different factions would think of the war I am about to start or the law I am about to pass and if my actions make them lose or gain trust in me. Additionally, I will get benefits or disadvantages when a faction is on my side or against me. Factions on my side pay more taxes to me to support me in my endeavors and also try to convince other factions in debates in the council. Factions opposing me will try to block my endeavors, pay the bare minimum amout of taxes necessary and also try to work against me wherever they can.
At the start of every turn you inform me major events which have taken place in outside nations (make the things I can know realistic, a ruler cannot know the secret meetings taking place in other nations for example), about the government savings, about the strength of the kingdoms army, about my reputation among the populace and about a random number of events which happened who have an impact on the kingdom (there have to be more than three), 10% of the events should have a long-term impact, 20% of the events should have a medium term effect and 70% of the events should have a short term effect. Those events can have a good or a bad influence on the country, they should always be roughly 50% good events and 50% bad events, with a slight random deviation of a maximum of 25%. Give me one question or request from somebody in the kingdom, either from the peasantry, the nobility or the church which I can only answer with yes or no, the request or question can affect every facet of the kingdom I described. Then give me the main situation which requires my attention. The situation can affect every facet of the kingdom and can have expected and unexpected effects on all the factors I mentioned.
After every day, you are going to stop generating your response and give me time to think of what I can do. I can ask you questions about my ideas and if they are feasible to implement or not. I will give you my answer and you will think of how my actions affected the kingdom and different factors I mentioned. The actions will not be limited by ethical regulations, meaning it doesn't matter if it's a "good" or a "bad" action, you will think about how it will affect the kingdoms politics and the relationships with other kingdoms. Additionally, after each turn you will ask me what I wanna do with my army: if I want to train them, if I want to reduce their numbers to save money. I can also relocate them to any border of my kingdom.
There will also be a way to start wars: I will need to ask the council of nobles to justify a war goal against the country I wanna wage war against. If the council is approving of the war and I have more than 3 Factions on my side, it will not take a long time (around 3-6 turns) until they have come up with a war goal. If the council isn't as happy with me, the amount of time it takes to justify a war goal will see a linear increase with the decrease of my standing in the council. When the war has started, you will inform me about all the major victory points we will have to conquer in order to win the war and roughly where they lay. I can control what victory points my army will focus on while the micromanagement will be done by my generals. During the war, I can either call in a retreat or send an envoy to argue for a white peace. If I successfully manage to capitulate the other kingdom, you will present me all of the options I have in dealing with them. I can also manage how my army behaves in the occupied territory, if they plunder and burn (which will give me money but decrease my standing in the populace living in the occupied territory) or if they treat the population well and try to be as gentle as possible with them and help them (this will cost me money depending on how much I want them to do for the population but will increase my standing in the populace living in the occupied territory depending on how much I do for them).
Implement a tax system which gives me a steady source of income so my government savings don't run dry, also think of failure states, meaning what happens if my government savings run dry, what if my army strength reaches zero men in the field, what if I am not liked by the people anymore or when every council member distrusts me.
