Extract & Process Healthcare Claims with VLM Run, Drive & Sheets

This workflow automates the intake and processing of healthcare claim documents by watching a specified Google Drive folder for new uploads. Upon detecting a new file, it downloads the content within n8n, sends it to VLM Run for AI-powered transcription and analysis to extract key fields like patient details, insurance info, charges, and dates. It also pulls supplementary data from a healthcare claims-processing API as JSON.

The extracted and normalized data is then appended as a new row in a Google Sheet, including metadata like timestamp, file name, size, and uploader. This ensures all claims are centralized in a structured, queryable format without manual entry, reducing errors and saving hours of administrative work.
