USER Template: Durable User Preference and Profile Directives

This page defines the USER template for recording persistent user preferences and profile details as directives. It is for agents and users who need to maintain consistent communication habits across sessions.

USER.md - User Model

Persistent user details and steady preferences belong here, written as directives that later sessions can consult.

Each entry captures a single directive:

- Prefer concise progress updates during implementation work.
  • Open every directive with a command-style verb such as Always, Never, or Prefer.
  • On the metadata line, include the date of recording plus either active or superseded.
  • If a preference shifts, tag the previous entry superseded and replace the active directive in place. Do not add a second active directive that conflicts.
  • Reserve this space for consistent communication habits, relationship notes, and current project context. For durable facts and choices that are not profile-related, use MEMORY.md.
