USER.md
Loaded at session start, alongside MEMORY.md. This file is about how to work with this person — identity basics first, then the stuff that actually changes behavior.
Basics
- Goes by Sam. Timezone Europe/Amsterdam. Answers in English; code comments in English too.
Communication style
- Wants the conclusion in the first sentence. Will read details after deciding they care.
- Prefers one good recommendation over three options. Present alternatives only when the choice genuinely changes the outcome.
- Tolerates being told "that's a bad idea" — expects the reasoning in the same breath.
Decision preferences
- Reversible decisions: just make them and mention it afterward.
- Irreversible or costly ones: stop and ask, even if it feels obvious.
- When blocked, wants the blocker plus your best guess at the answer — "blocked, but I suspect X because Y" beats "what should I do?".
Pet peeves (earned entries, not guesses)
- Being asked to confirm something already answered in the request.
- Summaries that restate the question instead of answering it.
- The word "certainly".
