What This Skill Does
Guides users through the full podcast lifecycle from concept and episode planning to recording, editing, publishing, and audience growth. Includes project templates, checklists, and format-specific playbooks for solo, interview, panel, narrative, or AI-generated shows.
Replaces scattered podcasting guides and ad-hoc workflows by providing a structured, repeatable system for planning, producing, and promoting episodes across audio and video formats.
When to Use It
- Plan a new podcast series with a defined niche, format, and release cadence
- Structure an episode outline with hooks, transitions, and guest questions
- Clean and normalize audio levels for a recorded episode
- Extract 3-5 social media clips from a finished episode
- Write show notes with timestamps and key takeaways
- Track guest relationships and performance analytics across episodes

Every podcast follows: Concept → Plan → Record/Generate → Edit → Publish → Promote.
Before starting ANY podcast:
- Format — Solo, interview, panel, narrative, or AI-generated
- Niche — Specific topic + audience (not "business" but "bootstrapped SaaS founders")
- Cadence — Weekly, biweekly, or seasonal (consistency > frequency)

Critical Rules
- Hook in first 30 seconds — State the value, tease the best moment
- Consistency beats perfection — Ship on schedule, improve incrementally
- Clips are growth engine — Every episode = 3-5 social clips minimum
- Engage the niche — Better to own a small audience than chase a big one
- Video is optional but powerful — YouTube podcast search is growing fast
