What This Skill Does
Command-line interface for Todoist task management. Supports adding, viewing, completing, searching, and organizing tasks, projects, labels, and comments via the Todoist API.
Replaces manually navigating the Todoist web or mobile app for bulk or automated task operations by exposing all core features through a single CLI.
When to Use It
- View today's tasks and overdue items from the terminal
- Add a new task with a due date and priority level
- Search for a specific task by keyword across all projects
- Mark a task as completed and optionally reopen it
- List all tasks in a specific project or with a given label
- Add a comment to an existing task for additional context

Installation
# Requires todoist-ts-cli >= 0.2.0 (for --top / --order)
npm install -g todoist-ts-cli@^0.2.0
Setup
- Get API token from https://todoist.com/app/settings/integrations/developer
- Either:
todoist auth <your-token> # or export TODOIST_API_TOKEN="your-token"

Filter Syntax
Todoist supports powerful filter queries:
p1,p2,p3,p4- Priority levelstoday,tomorrow,overdue@label- Tasks with label#project- Tasks in projectsearch: keyword- Search
Notes
- Task IDs are shown in task listings
- Due dates support natural language ("tomorrow", "next monday", "jan 15")
- Priority 1 is highest, 4 is lowest
- Use
--order <n>(1-based) or--order topto insert a task at a specific position within a project/section
