What This Skill Does

CLI tool to monitor blogs and RSS/Atom feeds for new articles. Tracks feeds, scans for updates, and manages a local list of articles with read/unread status.

Replaces manually checking multiple blogs or RSS readers by providing a single command-line interface to track and scan feeds for new content.

When to Use It

  • Add a new blog or RSS feed to your watchlist
  • Scan all tracked feeds for new articles at once
  • List all articles from tracked blogs
  • Mark a specific article as read
  • Mark all articles as read after reviewing them
  • Remove a blog or feed from your watchlist

Quick start

  • blogwatcher --help

Common commands

  • Add a blog: blogwatcher add "My Blog" https://example.com
  • List blogs: blogwatcher blogs
  • Scan for updates: blogwatcher scan
  • List articles: blogwatcher articles
  • Mark an article read: blogwatcher read 1
  • Mark all articles read: blogwatcher read-all
  • Remove a blog: blogwatcher remove "My Blog"
