What This Skill Does

Command-line interface for Google Places API (New) that provides text search, place details, address resolution, and reviews. Supports human-readable output by default and JSON output for scripting.

Replaces manual API calls or building custom integrations for Google Places data by offering a single CLI with consistent flags for search, details, resolve, and reviews.

When to Use It

  • Search for nearby coffee shops with open-now and minimum rating filters
  • Retrieve detailed information and reviews for a specific place ID
  • Resolve a partial address or place name to a structured location
  • Export place search results as JSON for use in scripts or data pipelines
  • Paginate through large search result sets using page tokens
