What This Skill Does
Fetches current weather and forecasts for any location using curl, with no API key required. Supports wttr.in for terminal-friendly output and Open-Meteo as a JSON fallback.
Replaces signing up for weather API keys by providing two free, no-registration services accessible via simple curl commands.
When to Use It
- Check today's weather in a city before heading out
- Get a compact weather summary for a location in a shell script
- Retrieve a full multi-day forecast for trip planning
- Download a weather PNG image for embedding in a dashboard
- Fetch current weather data as JSON for programmatic processing
