Automated n8n Workflow Backup to GitHub with Deletion Tracking

This workflow automates the backup of all your n8n workflows to a GitHub repository. Triggered manually, it uses the n8n API to fetch all workflows, downloads their JSON definitions, and intelligently syncs them with GitHub. For each workflow, it checks if a corresponding file exists using the workflow's credential ID. If the file exists and has changed, it updates it; if not, it creates a new one; unchanged files are ignored to avoid unnecessary commits.

A standout feature is deletion tracking: it detects workflows removed from n8n and automatically deletes the matching files from GitHub, ensuring your repository mirrors your n8n instance exactly. This prevents stale backups and maintains a clean version history.
