Backup n8n Credentials to GitHub Securely

This workflow, inspired by Jonathan's templates, uses a CLI command to export all n8n credentials in decrypted form. It then iterates over each credential, queries the specified GitHub repository to check if a file matching the credential's ID already exists. Depending on the result, it either updates the existing file, creates a new one, or skips if unchanged, ensuring efficient version-controlled backups.

Key benefits include disaster recovery for credentials, enabling easy restoration across environments, and leveraging GitHub for secure, accessible storage with history tracking. Configure repo owner, name, and path easily. Note the critical warning: credentials are exported decrypted—handle responsibly or modify the CLI for encryption.
