Backup n8n Workflows to GitHub with Subfolder Support

This workflow automates backing up your n8n workflows to a GitHub repository, inspired by works from Jonathan and Solomon, with an added Set node to organize workflows into subfolders based on their tags. It starts with a manual trigger, uses the n8n API to export all workflows, then loops through them to check if corresponding files exist in GitHub using the credential's ID.

If a file exists, it updates it; if not, it creates a new one; unchanged files are ignored to avoid unnecessary commits. The subfolder organization makes it easy to manage workflows by category or project in GitHub, enhancing version control and accessibility.

Ideal for users wanting secure off-server backups, disaster recovery, or easy migration to new n8n instances. It saves time on manual exports and ensures workflows are safely versioned in GitHub for collaboration or redundancy.
