Daily News Digest: RSS Summary with OpenAI to WhatsApp

This n8n workflow streamlines your news consumption by pulling articles from up to four customizable RSS feeds on a scheduled basis, such as daily or hourly. It normalizes data fields for consistency, merges items, applies optional filters by keywords or dates, limits to the top 10 recent articles, and aggregates them into a single block ready for processing.

Leveraging OpenAI's Message Assistant, the workflow intelligently summarizes the selected news into a concise, readable digest, highlighting key points without overwhelming details. The output is then sent directly to WhatsApp via a webhook endpoint (e.g., yoururlapi.com), with flexibility to swap for email, Google Drive, or other services.

Benefits include massive time savings on manual news curation, personalized digests tailored to your sources, and scalability for adding more feeds or refining filters. Ideal use cases: busy professionals needing quick industry updates, content creators monitoring trends, or teams sharing daily briefings—transform scattered RSS into actionable insights effortlessly.
