Enrich Domains with SimilarWeb Traffic Analytics in Google Sheets & Airtable

This workflow triggers automatically when a new domain is added to a Google Sheet, capturing the raw URL. It cleans the domain by removing protocols, www, and slashes to standardize it (e.g., example.com), preserving the row number for updates.

Next, it queries the SimilarWeb API to retrieve comprehensive traffic insights, including global/country/category ranks, total visits, bounce rate, pages per visit, average visit duration, top traffic sources (direct, search, social), top 3 countries with percentages, and device split (mobile vs desktop). The raw data is then processed and extracted into a clean, structured format for easy use.

The enriched metrics are written back to the original Google Sheet, updating the row with all key insights. Optionally, it creates a new record in Airtable, enabling seamless integration for dashboards, CRM syncing, or further analysis.

Ideal for market research, competitor analysis, lead scoring, or procurement teams evaluating vendor websites. Saves hours of manual data collection, ensures real-time accuracy, and scales effortlessly for bulk domain lists, boosting business intelligence workflows.
