Extract Text from Telegram Images & Store via AWS S3/Textract
Automates text extraction from Telegram chat images using AWS Textract, uploads to S3, and stores in Airtable for easy management.
This workflow triggers on images sent in a Telegram chat, automatically downloading them. It then uploads the images to an AWS S3 bucket for secure storage and processes them with AWS Textract to extract embedded text via OCR. Finally, the extracted text along with image metadata is appended to an Airtable base, creating a centralized repository.
Benefits include hands-free document processing, reducing manual data entry from screenshots or scanned images in chats. It's ideal for teams handling receipts, invoices, news clippings, or any image-based info shared via Telegram, saving hours of tedious work.
Use cases: Customer support logging chat receipts, news teams archiving image quotes, or personal finance tracking expense photos from group chats. Scalable for high-volume chats with robust AWS integrations ensuring reliability and Airtable for searchable records.
