This n8n workflow streamlines research paper management by triggering on DOI or arXiv links sent via Telegram bot. It parses the message to extract identifiers, queries multiple APIs (Crossref, DataCite, Unpaywall) for comprehensive bibliographic metadata, and intelligently locates the best available full-text PDF from publisher, open access, or arXiv sources.
Once metadata is enriched, the workflow attaches the PDF to a new Zotero parent item using the Zotero API, ensuring a complete library entry. It then leverages an LLM via OpenRouter to create a concise, clear summary of the abstract, enhancing quick comprehension without reading the full text.
Feedback is sent back to Telegram with the paper's title, URL, and summary.
