Stock Market Golden/Death Cross Alerts with Alpha Vantage & Discord
Automates daily stock analysis for Golden Cross (bullish) and Death Cross (bearish) signals using Alpha Vantage data, stores history in PostgreSQL, and sends Discord alerts after market close.
This n8n workflow monitors user-defined stock tickers every weekday at 5 PM post-market close. It fetches the latest daily price data from Alpha Vantage via HTTP Request, appends it to a PostgreSQL database for historical tracking, and retrieves the last 121 days of data per stock.
A Code node computes 60-day and 120-day Simple Moving Averages (SMAs) for the current and previous days. If nodes then detect Golden Cross (short-term SMA crossing above long-term) or Death Cross (crossing below), triggering real-time Discord notifications for trading signals.
