Hourly Top 5 Product Hunt Products to Discord
Automatically fetches the top 5 products from Product Hunt every hour using GraphQL API and shares their details (name, description, votes) on a Discord server.
This n8n workflow automates the monitoring and sharing of trending products from Product Hunt. It starts with a Cron node that triggers every hour, ensuring consistent updates without manual intervention. The GraphQL node queries the Product Hunt API for the top 5 ranked posts from the past 24 hours, retrieving key details like name, tagline, description, votes, and reviews rating. An Item Lists node transforms the single response into individual items for each product, followed by a Set node that formats and extracts only the essential fields: name, description, and votes count.
Finally, the Discord node posts these formatted product updates to a specified server channel, keeping your community or team informed about the latest innovations. This setup requires a Product Hunt API token and Discord credentials for seamless operation.
Benefits include significant time savings by eliminating manual checks on Product Hunt, real-time trend awareness for product managers and marketers, and effortless content curation for social channels. Use cases span marketing teams tracking competitors, startup communities sharing launches, developer groups discovering tools, and educational settings where instructors highlight new edtech products to students. It's highly customizable—adjust the cron schedule, query parameters, or add filters for specific categories.
