Telegram Bot API integration with managed authentication. Send messages, manage chats, handle updates, and interact with users through your Telegram bot. Use this skill when users want to send messages, create polls, manage bot commands, or interact with Telegram chats. For other third party apps, use the api-gateway skill (https://clawhub.ai/byungkyu/api-gateway). Calls run through the `maton` CLI with OAuth login, or over raw HTTP with a Maton API key where the CLI cannot be installed. Every `/telegram/` path goes to the Telegram Bot API and nowhere else; the methods documented here are the ones this skill uses, and the passthrough can also call other Bot API methods the bot token allows. Default to read calls, and confirm every send, edit, delete, or new connection with the user. This file also documents the three constructs that turn a Telegram Bot API connection into automation, in the order they are used: the connection (the first step), a hosted function that runs a Telegram Bot API action through the Maton SDK, and a trigger that calls that function on a schedule or on an event. Those sections are the platform's own reference text, shared with the api-gateway skill, with Telegram Bot API examples; they add no Telegram Bot API capability - Telegram Bot API is not an event source, a trigger cannot read Telegram Bot API data, and the files under `references/<source>/triggers.md` are the platform's event catalogues for the sources Maton offers (time, Calendly, GitHub, Gmail, HubSpot, Linear, Notion, Slack, Stripe).

Add `/topic` to the start of any message and the agent creates a topic/thread from it with an auto-generated title. Telegram and Nicegram: a forum topic is created via the Bot API and the original message is quoted inside it (media is forwarded). Discord: a public thread is created from the message and the quote is posted inside. Signal has no native topics or threads, so its adapter instead posts a titled digest message to the group (or as a DM to a phone number) — no topic object is created there. All credentials are read from the local OpenClaw config; nothing is sent anywhere except the target platform's own API. Each platform adapter is a separate script that implements only its own platform; scripts/ shared helpers handle title fallback and JSON output. The repo also ships an offline test suite with a localhost mock API server (not part of the runtime).

Use this after any message send whose delivery matters — a notification, a reply the user is waiting for, a forward to another chat — and before telling the user it was sent. Cross-checks the runtime's send result (message_sent success/error) against the wire: the request this process made to the channel API (api.telegram.org, discord.com, slack.com, graph.facebook.com, api.twilio.com, graph.microsoft.com) and its status code. Returns exactly DELIVERED, NOT_DELIVERED, CLAIMED_ONLY, CANCELLED, PENDING or NO_SEND. Do not use to confirm channels that deliver outside this process (WhatsApp Web, Signal, iMessage); for those it tells you the wire cannot confirm and what to do instead.
